Merry Christmas from the Cheetahs

The Cheetahs are ready for Christmas – the elves and Santas behind their Keeper’s wardrobes have posted all the correct presents down the correct chutes, everything is wrapped and ready to go and all Cheetahs have returned home from RunningLand, MudLand and SunLand (oh how jealous am I of those who’ve been off for some winter sunshine).

The birthday preparations for the baby Cheetahs who were born on Christmas day last year are also under way – they’re getting toys, including building bricks – the rest, I am told are a secret.

The older Cheetahs decided to give the pantomime a miss (oh yes they did) in favour of chasing each other up and down the Christmas lights in town – jumping over the ‘gaps’ where the lights have failed.  Much cheaper than a theatre ticket…

We haven’t had a chance to get up to the Zoo to wish their Cheetahs a Merry Christmas, weather and ill-health has conspired against us, however, the menagerie I am sure, will zip up there to check on the cubs and make sure that they have their stockings ready this evening.  Our new friends at Paradise Wildlife Park will also get a look in too – I’m sure.

What the Cheetahs look like has always been a closely guarded secret – and for the first time, dear reader, you have been treated to a picture of them by their Keeper… here they are with presents and a tree.

Merry Christmas from all of us – hope you have a spotty, snuggly and love filled Christmas.
